Yaz Turlusu (Summer Vegetable Stew)


  1. 250 grams diced lamb
  2. 60 grams vegetable oil
  3. Handful of okra
  4. 2 medium sized squash, sliced
  5. 2 medium sized eggplant, diced
  6. 2 handfuls of green beans, sliced
  7. 4 green peppers, sliced
  8. 2 onions, thinly diced
  9. 4 tomatoes, cut into small pieces
  10. salt
  11. 500 ml water

1- Lightly fry thinly diced onions in oil until soft. Add meat and fry until cooked.
2- Wash okra in a little vinegar and salt. Set aside.
3- Add washed and sliced green beans to meat, cook for approximately 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4- Add peppers, eggplant, squash, tomatoes and okra.
5- Pour water over vegetables and add salt to taste.
6- Place lid on pan and cook on medium heat until cooked. Serve with rice if desired.
