WOODCOCK
(Scolopax Rusticola - Culluk)


They are frequently seen in wet forests and mud covered groves throughout the year.
The woodcock is usually heavier and slower than the water woodcock. They usually land after 100 to 200 metres of flight each time. They feed on insects and worms. Woodcocks prefer to walk instead of flying.
It measures about 36 cms.
