TUBITAK

TUBITAK was founded in 1963 by the government of Turkey. The organisation operates in the fields of natural sciences, applied sciences (including medicine) and engineering.

Duties of TUBITAK:

  1. Supporting and encouraging the research and development activities in the universities, government organisations and private sector organisations,
  2. Actively involving in the research and development activities in Tubitak's centers, institutes and units,
  3. To give scholarships to young researchers,
  4. Providing information and documentation services,
  5. To cooperate with foreign and national organisations on certain research projects,
  6. Defining the target research areas which is important for the future of the country.
