Glass is even more precious than emerald, ruby and diamond. It is the greatest invention the world has ever seen. Without glass, daylight would not fill our homes. Electric bulb, television computer, telescope, microscope, would be unkown. Man would not be in space, since there can not be a spaceship without glass observation holes. Mankind owes a lot to the Phoenicians, the inventors of glass.
